Vortex Kaibab 20X56 Binoculars Review

When you go for a trophy hunting, I must say you require more than will and dedication to get that prized hunt.

Quality hunting equipment combined with these Vortex Kaibab 20X56 binoculars can make your dream day possible at your next big game.

Usually, 10 power binoculars are not effective to look at longer distances. Also, If you use a spotting scope they can cause eye strains when used for a long time.

The solution obviously, is a pair of high power binoculars;

Vortex has come earlier with 15X power binoculars earlier to improve the ability to look at longer distances. Moving up the game In 2014, The Vortex released 20X power Binocular i.e Kaibab 20x56 HD.

This equipment is a remarkable improvement as an additional 5X can improve the capability of trophy hunters to a large extent. They are one of the best in locating a tough to spot game at extreme distances.

I first used the Kaibab 20x56 when I was out scouting with a friend for his elk hunt. I fell in love instantly with the clarity and how easy it is to view animals through them while glassing.

Here is my review of the popular Vortex Kaibab 20x56 Binoculars.

First, Let's see the the specifications of these awesome binoculars.

Vortex Kaibab 20×56 Binoculars- Detailed Analysis

Magnification and Objective lens

The Binoculars provides 20X magnification with its large 56mm objective lens. The objective lenses gather good amount of light even in low light conditions

Build Quality & Construction

Wow!, That is the word you would utter while getting a hold at one of these Vortex Kaibab Binoculars.

Non-Slip rubber Armor provides an excellent grip with the hands. The binoculars are O-ring sealed and are waterproof.

Also, The argon gas purging prevents the binoculars to fog up.

Built on the already popular Vortex Kaibab 15X56 Chasis, the Kaibab 20x56 Binoculars feels sturdy and well balanced as the previous ones.

The binoculars are also relatively compact comparing to the fact that they of very high power.

The center focus knob on theses pairs is large enough and you would feel comfortable to fiddle with them even while your gloves on.

The focus wheel provides quality focus each and every time. They give smooth and precise image acquisition

The ultra-hard ArmorTek Coating on the lenses makes the lenses scratch resistant and I must say they do their job pretty well.

The dipper comes fitted into the right barrel and is apt in handling clear and sharp focus.

Image Quality/Optical Quality

The image clarity of Kaibab Binoculars is one of the finest and stands alone.

Even while you are looking 1 to 2 miles out for your trophy hunt, through these awesome pieces the view is unremarkable.

Lenses are fully multi-coated with XR- Plus coating which delivers astonishing light transmission.

You don't have the heat distortion that is normally seen through high powered glasses. The light-gathering ability is nothing less than amazing!

They are built In HD high-density extra-low dispersion glass for better illumination and longe range optical quality with optimum resolution, sharpness, and contrast.

The multilayer dielectric prism coating produces a clear and well-defined image to the eye with accurate color precision.

Regardless of whether you use these binoculars for seeing vivid wildlife in their natural habitat, or long-distance bird watching. You will greatly enjoy the color fidelity and edge to edge clarity

The optical is of premium quality with high performance and is even comparable to the Swaro’s best optics.

Eye Relief & FOV

It's amazing you can look through these for hours and not feel any eye strain.

The roll off eye cups has several set stops that make it very easy to get both eyes set for different eye reliefs.

It is recommended to keep the roll of eyecups in the down position even if you are not an eyeglass wearer. This position provides the biggest field of view

Overall, These binos are great for long distant viewing.

Initially, I was worried that the field of view would be too small. But it's fine for the long distance that these are made for.
